Small, white six-pointed star shaped flower
I have these flowers growing on a hilly and slightly rocky incline on the side of my yard, it is almost full-shade to partly sunny because of taller trees near the plants. They are low to the ground, only a few inches tall, and appear to be a ground cover.
Plant has a sweet smell but I can't identify it. Stem and leaves are fuzzy. Leaves are maybe 1/2 and long or less and very ovoid (oval) shaped. They come up around the flowers, making almost a little nest for the flowers.
The flowers are white with petals that curve slightly downward, 6 petals per flower and 1-3 flowers per plant stalk. They are maybe 1/4 inch long. The stamens are very slender stalks that protrude out of the center of the flower with a teeny bulbous top.
Any idea what they are?

Welcome deelynna. Please could you tell me where abouts in the world you live. It may help.

So sorry, I was trying to include everything about the flower and forgot to mention where I live. I am in South Carolina, USA. I just found these flowers in August so they bloom from Aug to September? The pictures were taken today and you can see how fresh the blooms are still.

It's Richardia scabra, or rough Mexican clover. Very weedy, but pretty enough.

Thank you!! I "goggled" Richardia Scabra (always like to double check) and that is definitely my cute little flower! Invasive or not, I like it! It's so pretty.
I am new to this site but definitely sticking around, I am always finding a plant I don't know anything about.
Thanks again.
