    This plant came up last year in my daughters flower bed.* It did not bloom.* This year it came up again with a baby.* (see photo)* Can anyone identify?

    Hi Ed,

    I've never seen anything like it before.* It reminds me of something one would see in a bog garden or water garden, but searching there didn't do me any good.* Unfortunately the picture isn't clear enough for me to see the leaves, but how about cow parsnip?* Does it look like this?

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    Newt,* the leaves are different.* Not as pointed.* I will make a better picture of the leaves tomorrow and post it.* Thank you for your help.* Ed
