Hi Bazza,
Unfortunately the picture is too small to be sure, but it appears to be some type of succulent.* Please resize it to 800 by 600 or larger.*
Also, where does this grow?* Is this a houseplant or growing outdoors?* What country are you in?* If in the US please let us know what state.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
how the the do i resize, every time i try the photo gets to big,and it wont let me upload
Gosh, I'm not much of a computer whiz.* You would need to resize it on your computer, most likely with the edit feature.* Then upload that one.* Does that help you out?
If not, maybe you could post your picture to a free site such as photobucket.com and post a link here to the photo.

I*cant get it to resize,no its not a house plant, its like a shrub and i think its from the med, spain maybe.it flower daisy type flowers once or twice a year.ps iam in the uk.
Ive found out what it is,its a Lampranthus.what do you think the white spots on the leaves could be?
Wow, glad you found out what it is.* Lampranthus aka iceplant is a succulent.* At least I got that part right.* :?* Lampranthus can suffer from powdery mildew.* I tried enlarging the picture on my computer but it blurrs out when I get it large enough to try and see what's going on.* If you can rub off the white spots then it's powdery mildew.* If not then there is a new leaf rot disease I read about that effects these plants in the UK.* (It helps to know where a plant is grown), but I can't seem to find too much info about it.* it's called Pythium aphanidermatum.* I can't seem to find pics of it or what to use against it.

If it's powdery mildew you can use milk to get rid of it.* Do not water at night and make sure there is good air circulation.* Clean up all fallen leaves and debris as best as you can.

Check to see if it's the powdery mildew, if that's not it, I'll do more searching.* Just let me know.
I decided to look just a little further and found this UK site about associated fungi for Lampranthus falcimoris.* I did a search of the below site but they only have this one species of Lampranthus listed.* Do you know which species of Lampranthus you have?

COULD IT BE DOWNY MILDREW,IT WONT RUB OFF
Bazza, most of powdery mildew should rub off.* Here's what it looks like on other plants as I can't find a picture of it on ice plant.* You can click on the pics for a larger view.

Though this isn't the newly discovered pythium aphanidermatum, it is some strain of pythium.* Does what you see look more like this?
