Hello, I'm a Newbie here but wanted to share a photo of a Bush? Tree? Shrub?

I've seen this all around my House growing wild and didn't know what to ask for at the Nursery (or if its even avaliable).

First off heres some "paticulars" that may help:

1)Its located in Northern California.

2)Elecation is 3000 Feeet.

3) Seems to come around in Spring/Summer.

4)Usually is on a spindily tree with a Trunk Diameter of about 1"-2".

5) It can be low like a Bush or high like a Tree.

The picture was taken with my Cell Phone Camera, so I apoligise for the quality.
Click here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Hi Roger,

Unfortunately I can't open it.* Can you post it to a site like photobucket and link to here?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Roger, it would be best if everyone could see your picture.* Why don't you just attach it here?

Roger, your shrub appears to be Ceanothus aka California lilac.*

I can't be sure as the picture is a bit blurry, but take a look at these pics to see if that's it.* These shrubs are native to California and there are different species and cultivated varieties.

What do you think?

Newt, Thanks for yopur response,I REALLY appreciate it!:D Since then I found a couple of these bushes around my area and took some better pictures with my digital Camera.

You can see them at: http://home.pon.net/wwotr/Misc
[line]
I also have a seperate question:

When we moved into our house 3 years ago, there were some Iris's that seemed to be very neglected.
Over the past 3 years I've been watering them and adding Miracle Grow. They'd seem to JUST ABOUT BLOOM, and then BAM, it would be the end of Summer and they'd die off.
Well I FINALLY got it to Bloom this week!:):):)
You can see a picture on the same page as above, (best viewed with Internet Explorer).
I was wondering if anyone could give me some background on what it is ect.
Thanks
Roger

I can't get it to open again.* I get a black page.* Whatever it is that you did when you sent me the picture in a pm, can you do that again?

I'd love to see the pictures and help you with the iris if I can.
