Check out Ornithogalum dubium. Common name snake flower, or Sun Star.

That's too funny! She really will like that because up till now the longest she's had cut flowers for her desk is 2 wks- that's when I bring her Alstroemeria from my garden, and she is shocked they last that long...thanks again, I emailed her the info this morning!
