Hello all - brand new to this forum - have a yard of blooming azaleas & dogwoods at the moment; also have an area w/ the red flowering bush below - may be an azalea variant, but does anyone know the exact name for this beautiful bush (sorry about flowers being a little blurry - was cropped from the corner of a larger image) - thanks.

Hi Bushman,
It appears to be one of the evergreen varieties. Yours are beautiful! There are thousands of named varieties of azalea. You can look through these galleries to see if you can tell which one you might have.

Here's some azalea info from the Azalea Society of America.

Hi Newt,
Thanks for the links - went out and pick a flower w/ some leaves - seems to resemble the pic below from the 'azalea galleries' - name of the link is 'ColeOrangeonPath' - can't find a Google reference but assume named after 'someone'? Dave

Dave, thanks for getting back to me. If your second picture is of your azalea, try posting it and asking the folks at this botanical garden. They are located in British Columbia, Canada, but it's worth a try.
Here's their main forums page. Do add your state and hardiness zone when you register so they won't have to ask.

Here's their Plant Identification forum.

If you get an id, please let us know.

Hello again Newt,
The second picture I showed was from the gallery that you gave me the link; however, I did take another 'close-up' of my own azalea bush (shown below) - I thought the two looked pretty similar - amazing 'how many' varieties (or I guess cultivars is the correct term) exist! Thanks again for all of you help - Dave

Dave, you are so very welcome! Your azalea has more red in it and it appears to have some white on the petals as well. Hope those other folks will be able to id it for you.
