Hi, I live in NE Mass and just bought my house. I have several of these bushes in the yard and have not been able to identify them. They are about 6 - 7 feet tall and seem to be spreading width wise. I have no idea if they are a weed or what. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Green,

Congratulations on your new home! It appears you have Euonymus alatus aka winged euonymus aka burning bush. Unfortunately in most areas it has become an invasive species. Scroll down at this first site to #2.
