Hi,
I have a young pear tree in my garden. Over the last 2 years the tree has born fruit blossoms - but the blossoms / fruit quickly die and fall off. On some leaves there are large black spots / splotches which cuase the leaves to die or grow disfigured. On the Stem / branches there appear to be a disease of some sort. The growth beyond the diseased patch eventually stops and the stem dies. Any ideas what my problem is  - what is causing it and how can I help the tree to recover ?
Thanks

What growing Zone do you live in and does this tree need a propagator tree?

Sometimes fruit trees need a pollinator tree to produce fruitl.

Hi Bgengine,

Conference pear will sometimes produce pears without a cross pollinator, but I suspect yours will need a companion to give you fruit.  You should find this helpful.

Here's some info on pear diseases so you can see if any of it fits what you see on your tree.
