Hi all

I'll be planting my first Herbal garden this year in our back yard, which will be the herbs I use for my holistic herbal therapy wraps.  Buying bulk herbs tends to be a bit more expensive each year.  We live in NJ & have a lot of clay in our soil.  I would appreciate any advice.

Thank you very much.  Enjoy reading the posts, much knowledge & information here.

Hi Olivia,

The best advice I can give you for planting is to add lots of compost to the planting beds. A 4" layer mixed into the soil would be good.  It will help break up the clay, improve drainage and feed the soil that feeds the plants.  Here's some helpful info about herbs.
