i planted Sweet Basil on soil that had been treated with anti-termite chemicals (poisonous).

are the basil leaves safe to eat? or how long should I wait before i can be sure theyre safe to eat?

thanks!!

Hi Nichols,

It would be best to know just what was applied to the soil, but I wouldn't eat any of the leaves.  Many chemicals stay in the soil for months or even years.

Sorry to hear you had your soil tampered with.  Yes, please don't eat from your soil with possible poision added.
