I had two nice basket-of-gold plants that did well this year. But in the past two weeks they started turning yellow, brown, then no more leaves and they look dead. They had plenty of sun and were planted next to some wall stones where they was plenty of drainage.

Another plant in a more shaded area still looks good.

Any suggestions as to what caused the problem? Or is this their normal growth pattern?

Hi Ngeti,

Aurinia saxatilis 'Basket of Gold' can get crown rot, especially if grown in rich soil even if the drainage is good.  It also prefers neutral to acidic soil, so if the wall is limestone, that could cause a problem as limestone is akaline.

Soil mealybugs are also a possibility.
