This plant has been in my garden for about three years now. Up until this year, it has just been green with white flowers. This year, hot pink and banana yellow flowers have emerged in addition to the white ones. Is this indeed a mutated Jasmine plant?* It is fragrant and invasive. It dies off totally in winter and comes back strong in the summer. It has little black seeds which scatter as it dies back.

Here's a picture of the yellow ones flowers and white flowers as well. Maybe this will help. Thanks.

    Hi Leanne,

Looks like four o'clocks - Mirabilis jalapa.

They look pretty close. One question though, the 4 o'clocks have stamen, the flowers I have do not.* Are there variations of the 4 o'clocks without the stamen?* Thanks for your help!

Gosh, I don't know for sure. They grew all over Peru and I never really noticed.* I think the stamens contract as the flower ages.* I'm not sure.* Here's some other pics.

Maybe a picture of the seeds will help?* Last one on this page.
