Need help with pampas grass transplants

Hello. I'm new to the site and just signed up. I have a problem. I bought 30 pampas grasses from a local garden club sale and did not have the planting site prepared. The site is now ready for planting but it's been a week that these plants have been in buckets with some water and as I began planting today I noticed some mold on some of the roots. Is there anything I can do to save them?

I wouldn't worry about it, I would just plant them. This grass is tough and can grow almost anywhere. Just be sure to provide some water over the summer so they can get established.

    Hi Jduffy,

Good advice from Backyard Gardener. You don't say where you live, but pampas grass has become an invasive in most areas where they survive. If they don't make it, I would suggest you plant something native.
