Question Did I plant this tree too close to the plumbing?

I am really new to gardening, so I have been reading a lot of books! Last summer I planted a small Silver Leaf Maple off to the side of my front yard. I read in a book this morning that these trees should not be planted near a sidewalk or plumbing. It didn't say HOW NEAR?? This tree is planted 12 feet from my front porch and 20 feet from the closest plumbing line. Is that far enough?
    Thank you for your advice!!

Not owning a Reconsider Planting Silver Maple in Your Yard I would say it's far enough. If you plan on moving in the near future, then you have nothing to worry about.
