    Variegated Privet

I have 2 variegated privets that are in need of pruning. When and how should I do this? I would like to keep some to replant. How is this done? Also, one of them has some branches with solid green leaves. Someone told me that if I don't prune those out, the whole plant will turn solid.

Newt might not like my simple response, but I do own one of these plants... or shrub. Honestly, when mine gets to big, I just fire up the Stihl pruner and reshape the the shrub. Normally I do this in the fall..

Propagation - Stem cuttings from new growth and placed in perlite mixture.
