    What is this plant?

I purchased a plant in October from my college's plant sale in the Bay Area, California. It was lableled Unknown Name, easy to grow, needs part to full shade, medium water, good draining for bulbs.
The plant has bulbs with roots on the ends. I am keeping it inside. Here are two pictures of it. You might not be able to tell from the photo, but it has thin but fleshy leaves that kind of resemble grass in shape. They are light green with darker irregularly shaped spots on it. I have had this plant for five months and I have not been able to identify it. It is growing easily and propagating new bulbs. It has not flowered. I really want to find out what this plant is. Thank you for your help!

That looks like Erythronium americanum, also known as dogtooth violet or trout lily. You'll know for sure once it flowers. Such a lovely plant!
