    Forrest soil

I'm thinking about using some soil from the woods behind my house to enrich my garden soil. Is this a good or bad idea?

Ctone, I'm no expert but I have recently begun clearing out the woods behind our house and I have noticed the soil is great! Much better than the red clay I have in the front yard. I can't wait to start planting different bulbs and woodland plants back there. I would think it would be fine to take that nice "naturally composted" soil and using it elsewhere. Seems logical anyway.

Would love to know if I'm way off base.
