Fuchsia ( Neon Fuchsia )

Single purple and blue corolla with sepals of cream and red. Blooms in early summer to early fall. This fuchsia has oval, green leaves and produces fruit that is edible but not appetizing. These are very versatile plants, they can be trained to baskets, trees, espaliers, pillars, and trellises. Fuchsias thrive in a temperate climate with moisture or humidity. Plant east or north of your building. Some sun, filtered or lots of light. Mulch heavily where winters are cold. Prune back dead or broken branches in spring, especially on plants that were left outside in areas with mild winters. Cooler summer temperatures make Fuchsias a favorite for the Pacific Northwest.
