: anyone know if eucalyptus mulch is good to put down in a vegetable garden? : if not, where? : will it hurt the earthworms? : is there a better mulch that won't attract termites? : thanks. sandi The eucalyputs mulch could be used around shrubs, trees and perennials. I don't know about the veggie garden. In a veggie garden grass clippings work well by adding nitrogen but be sure the lawn isn't treated with any chemicals. Also consider shredded leaves, leaf mold (decomposed leaves), or straw.
Here's a site with lots of facts about mulches that should be helpful. Newt
