: I am in Houston, Tx. and would like to transplant my basil that was started from seeds. I have an old washtub which is fairly large and was wondering if it would be wise to sepatate the dense plants and space out in this washtub. The washtub does not have holes but I can use drainage rocks in the bottom and/or punch holes in the tub if necessary (although I really would prefer not to). I also have access to cow manure, how much of a mix between potting soil and manure is optimun? Any tips greatly appreciated.
