: I have heard Orange peelings keep them away. I have found that coffee grounds have helped for me. I first used them to help keep bugs away from certain plants but found that the cats are also staying away. Could be a coincidence but I haven't had any cats since I started using the coffee grounds

Is this dry coffee grounds or already brewed? I really want to not used anything chemical because my 2 year old is in the dirt helping me garden, so keeping away the cats, as well as with something that won't harm her are very important!!
