worst enemy of hostas (they leaave holes ) are slugs. they hade in daytime under any debris in garden and worst of all, they lay their eggs in the soil around your hostas. they love shade and moisture. anyone with hostas to swap next spring, (we are aone 6.5}, please reply. anyone want butterfly bushes? mine are too prolific. use pitchfork in middle of plant and pull apart for hosta division.
