Posted by Kelly on May 05, 2003 at 18:55:33: My eight year old Frances Williams hostas developed brown spots on their leaves last year, but I ignored it and thought it might be sunburn, and they would be OK this year. Well, they aren't. They are developing colorless spots on their leaves, and the spots have no chlorophyll, and are almost transparent, then the spots turn browm, like dead spots on the leaves. I can see the veining, but there are no holes, and at least seventy-five percent of the leaves with the spots look healthy. Does anyone know what the problem is, or who I might contact to find out. Thank you. Kelly,
