: : Hi Kim, it's May 30th here in Seattle, and I found that several of my most important hostas died this year, apparently from root-rot... I'm in zone 8 and I have A+D Hosta nursery down the street from me.. They said they had lost many plants this year from a very cold and wet April.. I lost a 10yr old Great Expectations... what do you suppose THAT was worth!!?? BOO HOO!!!
Sorry.. anyway most of the others are fine, I had spotty loss, for the first timein my gardening history.

: Hi Kim,

: If you live in zone 6 or above you should see shoots in the next couple of days. If you live lower than zone 6, they might not show for another week or two. If they are gone it could have been the severe weather from the winter. Unfortunately you don't say where you live, so I really can't say what the problem is.

: Good luck,
: Newt
