: Herbs brought indoors at the end of the season will never thrive unless you have a greenhouse. You are basically keeping them alive until next spring, when you re-plant them outside.

: The only plants I bring in for winter are my Bay and Rosemary, I have had them several years and they have grown to the size of small bushes. The other ones I just dry as much as possible for winter use.

: If you really want fresh herbs year-round, start them from seed in the fall and keep them indoors, it is hard to take a outdoor plant in, and have it be really happy. I have found that the only herb I really miss having fresh in the winter is Basil, but I have lots of pesto in the freezer, and most of the grocery stores in my area carry fresh basil year round, so that gets me through.

I HAVE GOOD LUCK BRINGING IN MY THYME AND ROSEMARY PLANTS FOR THE WINTER (ZONE 5). I KEEP THEM IN A SUNNY WINDOW.
