Hi Jennifer, Vinegar is used as a weed killer. I wouldn't suggest spraying in on any houseplants. To keep kitty off the soil, place pine cones, pebbles, small rocks, sweet gum tree balls or anything pr*ckly on the surface of the soil. You could even make a tent or screen out of chicken wire to keep kitty away from the foilage. Newt
