: : I have a 5x20 foot balcony off of my livingroom. I mention this because the wall is all glass and you see the entire balcony from the main room.  I am in northern Calif., the balcony faces west,in direct sun most all day and gets very warm.

: : I want to grow something in a planter on a trelis.  I want something that stays green year round, flowers a good deal of the year, is not messy.  I am considering jasmine or plumbargo.  Am I on the right track or do you have other suggestions?
