Screw Pine - how to trim

I have a 25-30ft. screw pine in my front yard that has disappeared into two neighboring trees. Is there a way to safely crop/trim it by 10 or 15 feet without killing it? It seems such a shame to have such a beautiful plant that's not even seen. Thanks...Steven
