I am having the same problem with our china doll plant.
i have tried overwatering and underwatering and still am having the problem of dropping leaves (like crazy). I have new growth all the time, but it still drys out and drops leaves. have you gotten any better responses then not overwatering?
Please e-mail me back--am ready to use the plant in our mulch pile....
