: We have recently moved and ever since our ficas trees is going bare. I have no idea what a ficas tree needs? Is it suppose to be in the sun? How often do you water it? What do you do with the bare branches? Help!!!!!

Hi Lori,
Not to dispair, as ficas will do that when they are moved. Just care for it as you always have with water when it begins to dry out and a bright spot with no drafts and the leaves will reappear in a few weeks. You can fertilize with a tablespoon of milk in the watering can. Yup, the stuff we put in coffee. You can also just add water to the empty container and water all your houseplants. They like the calcium and minerals. You can do a search at www.google.com and put in quotes with a plus sign like this: "milk" + "house plant".

Good luck,
Newt
