I have a house plant that I have had for years. It is tall about 5 ft tall with a stock aproximately 1-2" round. The leaves are dark green and about 18 - 22" long. It looks somewhat like a corn plant, but I don't believe it is. The younger leaves are lighter green down the center, but this darkens as the leaves age. The plant is now blooming - after all these years. It has 2 long thick stems coming out between the leaves that are each about 18" long and droop down like the leaves. Each of these spikes or stems has multiple (5-6) smaller stems (3" long) off of them which have round clusters of small white flowers at the bases and ends. The end of the longer stems/spikes are covered in these clusters of round white flowers. The flowers are very odorous to the point of stinky. the smell reminds me of a strong easter lily. There is also a sap like substance on the flowering spikes. The smell is so potent it is overwhelming our house and we will have to remove them. Any idea what this plant is?
