Miniature Rose

Hi! I just got an indoor miniature rose in full bloom, it has a self draiing pot, and from what I've read, a pretty optimal amount of both sun and artificial light. I've had it for about a week and all of a sudden it just up and died on me! Could this have been some freak occurence?
Does it have anything to do with having just bloomed? Is it allergic to fertilizer? Does it need to be sang and/or read to? HELP!! Before I end up with a room full of carcasses!!
