I have had a ficus benjamina weeping fig for approx 3 years. It has been in the same spot for this time, which is next to a fireplace in the living room with varied levels of light. A few months ago it started losing a lot of leaves so I thought it might be getting too hot near the fire and moved the plant into another room and watered it well, the new position was in another room (unheated) close to a brighter window. However it ended up losing all its leaves. I now dont know what to do, should I prune it right down (it is or was about 2ft tall), should I water it again - is it worth it?
