I have a plant that has been with me for over 30 years and has experienced much neglect but has survived and come back. It has some of the following characteristics: (1) green leaves, broad about 3" x 12" (2) sends up green stalks about 1/2" diameter x 3 feet; these stalks grow rapidly, having a purpleish tinge to them when young (3) the stalks fan out into a leaf and leaves may grow from the sides of the stalks (4) easy to root in water (5) drought resistant (6) sends out tentacles to grasp supports (thigmotropism. After 30 years, I want to know this plant by name.
