Newt: I have been to the national botanicals, and to a large nursery and to a knowledgible person, all saying it is a night blooming cereus, but it looks in no way like the pictures of the night blooming cereus. So the woman at the botanical garden said...well it is at least in the cereus group. Well, I see no evidence of that on the internet. The cereus look like stalwart cacti. This plant does not look like a cactus.
