It sounds like your plant has Mealy Bugs! You'll need to get rid of them to stop the leaf drop, as they're sucking the plants juices. They could eventually kill the plant. Here's a link to some info on getting rid of them...it's pretty easy, if you're vigilant. http://www.blueplate.biz/generic12.html And below is a photo of what they look like on a plant (scroll down the page just a bit) : : I have been spraying my china doll with a fungacide for the past year and I still can't get rid of the white floury looking stuff on the leaves. The leaves eventually dry up and fall off. This plant is several years old and has thick woody trunks. I have cut it back severely, no longer overwater and it's on my porch which has morning light. What do you suggest?
