My mother sang this song to us kids when we were small. The melody is haunting and I have never forgotten it. It was like a spell and we would fall asleep to the Who-Ya, Who-Ya Who-Ya-Ya but I remember it as swiftly tumbling waters. Does anyone have music skills that could reproduce the melody and make an MP3 or write the melody out? It would be great to hear it again. This is how I remember it.
Across the field of gold and green,
a young boy plainly can be seen.
A hoo-ya, hoo-ya, hoo-ya-ya, swiftly tumbling waters
But no, 'tis not a boy at all
‘Tis Ifkas castle towers so tall.
A hoo-ya, hoo-ya, hoo-ya-ya, swiftly tumbling waters
And for our pleasure it was made
this fine old castle, deep in shade.
A hoo-ya, hoo-ya, hoo-ya-ya, swiftly tumbling waters
