: : Bill Grogan's goat, was feelin' fine

: : ate three red shirts from off the line

: : Bill took a switch, gave him a swack

: : coughed up the shrits....

: : and I can't remember the rest.

: We used to sing this song all the time as children- we got together recently and were frustrated because, even with the three of us, we couldn't remember the whole song.

: I looked it up in YAHOO and here is the verse we couldn't remember, plus the ones that you couldn't remember:

: Bill Grogan's goat was feeling fine

: Ate two red shirts right off the line

: I took a stick, gave him a whack

: And tied him to a railroad track

: (we remember the song that Bill Grogan did all this, not us)

: The whistle blew, the train drew nigh,

: Now that poor goat was doomed to die.

: (this was EXACTLY as we remembered it)

: He gave a shriek of mortal pain,

: Coughed up that shirt, flagged down the train.

: (this was the verse we couldn't remember, although we remember that he coughed up the shirts and flagged down the train!)

: Hope this helps!
The train came to a stop, the engeneer got out to see what was wrong. He saw the goat and took his knife and cut his throat. The goat got up at Si. Peters door. St. Peter said where is your head. The goat replied I do not know, all I know is it went below
