I have just purchased my second orchid - a bright green (chartruse) dendrobium with a dark purple center.(Tag reads "thongchai gold".) It has two stalks and one has a stem with 14 blooms or buds. It is fabulous!I have no idea what to expect. I have a southern exposure, very warm apartment with high ceilings and a fan. I get sun all day - despite Seattles reputation. I have moved it back from the window, will water it 7-10 days, fertilize 2x per month and place it on a rock bed with water for humidity. I know it will loose blooms - can I expect it to loose the leaves? Also, there are lots of roots growing out the top - should it be repotted and when? Thanks
