We need more info. What type of orchid is it? A Phal? A Den? Probably one of those 2. The Moss is for looks mainly. If it's a Phal keep the soil SLIGHTLY damp and keep it out of direct sun, it's a low light plant. IF a Den let the bark dry out between waterings and give it bright light, morning or late afternoon sun is o.k.
Do NOT plant it outside. They are tropical plants and are not hardy. Tom
