depends on what general type of dend. you bought....

does it have a name tag? Do you know if it is a cane type dend or a nobile dend? If it has the flowers on thin "reed like" stalks (called phalenopsis type dends by some) then yes, you can cut them off. If instead there are plump, thick stalks then it is a nobile type and don't cut them. Happy growing! Amy

: I bought a beautiful dendrobium orchid with tons of flowers on it , they only lasted about a week. What I am wondering is if you are suppose to cut the stems where the flowers were growing or do you leave them???I bought this plant from Home Depot and spent about 25.00 dollars on it and they are very uneducated on orchids and can give no helpful advice. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
