: Over the last 2 months I noticed a growth spurt on my dendrobium wherein a new cane shot up and a new flower stalk was just emerging. I was joyful, but then within the past week, the flower stalk started wilting and I doubt if I will see flower now. The only change I could think of was that the plant was watered just once a week during the holidays, since then I have been watering it more regularly (every other day or so) with a spray bottle after I notice the new flower stalk. I supplement the water with some Miracle Glo 8-7-6. Am I watering too much? I don't know what to do now.
Don't know if I have this replying down right. But you are probably right , to much water and better off not to mist it especially the buds. I water mine approx. once a week , the canes supply moisture if it needs it , sorry about the buds , have had blast too the green house roof dripped condensed moisture on a spike . :( Gin
