Posted by Sarah on June 19, 2003 at 20:10:59: I bought a Cymbidium in early April and it was in bloom. The blooms have just started falling and I realized that if I was going to repot it, it should have been done in April after blooming. I understand if I do it now it will not flower next year. I would like to know whether I should wait until next spring to repot/divide? If so, would the plant be okay through the winter as the current pot seems pretty congested(the tubers are visible on top of the soil). Also it has two stalks that had flowers. After the flowers fall, am I supposed to cut the stalks down a certain length and if so, how much? btw, this is an indoor plant. Thanks.
