The label tells me to "cut stalk above the eye", what do they mean by "eye"? The eyes are the nodes along the stem. There are more than one node depending on the plant; some may have five. If the plant is strong and vigorous, I like to leave three nodes from which next season I usually get another flower spike and occasional a "ki Ki" i.e.a baby plant. After a year the stem can be cut below the baby and potted.
