I have several orchids that have mealy bugs on them. Planing to treat them and repot in sterilized pots and new mix. I have an insecticide named Pyola which contains Pyrethins and wondered if I submerged the entire plant in a bucket filled with the insecticide and water to ensure I kill any bugs on the roots. Does anyone have any thoughts on this procedure? Do you think the plants will survive such a dunking? I am afraid if I try to remove the bugs one at a time I might miss some on the roots. Any suggestions? thanks, Sharon
