Hi, The moss is a matter of opinion. I tend to overwater plants. So my phals are all in only bark. Sphagnum moss tends to stay water-logged and then rot the roots. Hope this helps! : I bought a phaleonopsis and transplanted it into an orchid pot - a pot that has holes in the sides of it. I also planted it in bark. I'm wondering if this pot is causing the stalk to die, because I can't put hardly any water in it before the water comes out of the holes and into the tray beneath. How should I water it? I was wondering if I should immerse it once a week in a pot filled with water in order for the bark to all get good and wet. Should I pack some moss in with the bark mixture? I'll just note that the leaves appear to be fine. Thanks!
