: I am by no means an expert with orchids.  And certainly not Cymbidiums.  But the little bit I do know says you are in good shape!  You never want to repot when there are flowers on the plant.  Immediately after the plant is "done flowering" ie flowers have all fallen off is a great time to repot.  Or if you see lots of new root growth (harder to see with cymbidiums) but often occurs soon after the plant is done flowering.  

: I'll let someone else tell you if your plant needs repotting or not.  I let all of my orchids including cymbidiums (I have only a few of these) completely outgrow their pots before I repot.

: : I bought a Cymbidium in early April and it was in bloom.  The blooms have just started falling and I realized that if I was going to repot it, it should have been done in April after blooming.  I understand if I do it now it will not flower next year.  I would like to know whether I should wait until next spring to repot/divide?  If so, would the plant be okay through the winter as the current pot seems pretty congested(the tubers are visible on top of the soil).

: : Also it has two stalks that had flowers.  After the flowers fall, am I supposed to cut the stalks down a certain length and if so, how much?
