Can you force a dendrobium to bloom?

: this past December, i bought a dendrobium on a Frank's Nursery clearance table.  the manager was pretty helpful about telling me how to take care of it and explained that they were only on clearance cuz they'd already bloomed.  the flower stalk was dead and dried, so i pruned it.  

: when do these little guys bloom and how often?  it's doing really well in my sun room, it's even got new, tiny leaf stalks emerging from the wood hunk that it's growing in.  

: can i "force" it to bloom again?  i have no idea what color these blooms will be and i'm very impatient! *smile*

: i mist it every day (in our dry, IL winter house) and soak it on Sundays for an hour and i fertilize it with orchid food, too.

: any ideas?  thanks much for any suggestions in advance.
