What can I do to save this orchid?

I have a dendrobium orchid that was given to my mom by her boss who raises orchids. Since she's had the orchid for about 2 years it has done nothing except grow more staulks. My mom has very little sun at her home which is why I now have this orchid now. I have put in a 6 inch pot (it out grew the 4 inch pot.) I've placed it in a window where it has a southren exposure and I water it when it's dry about once every 10 days. I would like all of the info that I can get as to what I can do to save this orchid. Thanks!
