: Help! I'm new to perennials. How should I dead-head my lilies? All the blooms have fallen off, so should I pull the stamen out and leave it at that, or should I pull off the whole end that the stamen is attached to? I haven't touched anything yet for fear that I will pull off too much. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Sheila,
Just pop off the whole end that the flower was attached to the main stem with and all will be fine. :)
